Flu in Poland: 1.2 million illnesses, over 30 deaths

Although the number one media topic is currently the coronavirus, a much bigger harvest in Poland is being taken by the flu.
Flu more dangerous than coronavirus
In just the first two months of 2020, the number of flu cases in Poland was almost 1.2 million. This was less than in the analogous period of 2019, when the number of cases was 1.5 million. On the other hand, the number of cases in February oscillated around 200,000 per week. At the same time, 33 people have already died of influenza in January and February.
Coronavirus: one case in Poland so far
At the moment (5th March, morning) one case of coronavirus (in Lubuskie Province) has been confirmed in Poland. The infected patient came from Germany, one of the largest coronavirus outbreaks in Europe (262 cases). There are more cases in the region of Europe than in Germany only in France (285) and Italy (3 089).
In total, the number of coronavirus infections in the world exceeded 95,000, of which over 80,000 were recorded in China. 3,000 people died from the disease
