Parsons from Italy to Poland – will it be a successful transfer?

On 21 June 2021, Ioana Parsons has been appointed as General Director of Ipsen Poland. Parsons holds a degree in Economics and International Business from ASE University of Economics in Bucharest and an MBA from London Business School. However, she has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 15 years. In her new role, Ioana Parsons will lead the Specialty Care Division. She will be in charge of setting strategic directions for the company’s development in Poland, building a strong portfolio and promoting innovative healthcare solutions.

Prior to joining Ipsen Poland, Ioana Parsons worked at Amgen where she spent the last 5 years in local, regional and global roles – most recently as Director of the Oncology Business Unit in Italy, whilst also holding the role of Global Commercial Capabilities Director. Prior to this, she spent over nine years at McKinsey in London, where she led large scale strategy and commercial transformation projects for a number of global pharmaceutical clients – prior to becoming a line manager.

This is not the only change at Ipsen

Ipsen is a global mid-sized biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative medicines in oncology, rare diseases and neurology. It is worth mentioning that Parsons has replaced Guillaume Delmotte in Poland, who was challenged by Ipsen to take up the position of General Director in China.
