As of 1 June 2021, the position of General Manager of Roche Poland will be assumed by Irma Veberic, who has been associated with Roche for over 20 years. Most recently, Veberic held the position of Roche General Manager in Hungary.

Roche Poland and Veberic’s international experience

Irma Veberic has been with Roche since 1996. She went through all career stages to become Roche General Manager in Slovenia in 2010. In 2017 she moved to Hungary, where she also held the position of General Manager.

Veberic has solidified Roche’s position in Hungary. The company currently invests three quarters of revenues back in the country. There are three Roche business units in Hungary – pharma, diagnostics and diabetes care, as well as PV HUB Budapest (Pharmacovigilance Hub). PV HUB Budapest is responsible for 23 European countries and 6 countries of the Balkan Peninsula. Also located in Budapest is RSS Budapest (Roche Services & Solutions Operations EMEA), which has 900 employees. The team consists of nationals from as many as 27 countries worldwide. 63% of management positions in RSS are held by women.

For Irma Veberic, Roche Poland is the third market she will develop in terms of biotechnology.

Irima Vebric will take over the position after Wiktor Janicki, who served as General Manager of Roche Poland from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, he held the position of CFO of Roche from 2010 to 2016. Wiktor Janicki has currently moved to AstraZeneca, which we wrote more about here.
