Selvita S.A. has received permission from the President of the City of Krakow to build a Research and Development Centre for Laboratory Services in the area of drug discovery and development. The centre is expected to be ready by the end of 2022.
Launch of the Selvita Laboratory Services Centre
The Laboratory Services Centre will be built in Krakow at Podole Street. In line with Selvita S.A. Group’s strategy for 2020-2023, the company intends to begin construction of the investment immediately after the building permit is fully approved.
The cost of the investment is approximately PLN 145m gross, which includes the purchase of a plot of land, construction and general equipment, and laboratory equipment. Selvita will finance the investment through a bank loan, leasing, proceeds from a share issue and a grant as part of the competition ‘Support for investments in R&D infrastructure of enterprises’ of the Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020 organised by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
The newly built Selvita complex will be equipped with specialised research equipment. The completion of the investment is scheduled for the end of 2022, while the opening of the first laboratories in the Research and Development Centre for Laboratory Services in Drug Discovery and Development is planned for the turn of 2022 and 2023.
