Mazovia Hospital, specializing in diagnostics and surgical treatment of urology diseases, will be the first private hospital in Poland to have a a da Vinci surgical robot. The device manufactured by Intuitive Surgical will be delivered by Synektik under the contract signed on 21 August. Since July Synektik has been the exclusive distributor of da Vinci in Poland.
The value of the agreement was not stated, but it is known that it exceeds 10% of Synektik’s accumulated revenues for the last four quarters.
Synektik is currently holding talks with several public and private hospitals. The purchase of further da Vinci robots by other Polish hospitals may be finalised this year.
