WIM is the first military facility in Poland to start using da Vinci’s solution. At the same time, it is worth noting that surgical robots are widely used by military hospitals around the world. Major General Professor Grzegorz Gielerak, the Director of WIM, has said that the Military Institute of Medicine has been successfully implementing modern treatment methods for years, focusing on advanced medical technologies.

Currently, treatments using da Vinci robots are performed in centres located in eight Polish cities: Bialystok, Krakow, Poznan, Siedlce, Szczecin, Warsaw, Wieliszew and Wroclaw.
