Witold Kruszewski, member of the management board and financial director of Mercator Medical, resigned with effect on September 30, 2021. The newly-elected financial director, Michał Romański, has already started the implementation process, thanks to which the next EGM will be able to appoint the current CFO to the supervisory board.
The new financial director, Michał Romański, can boast of extensive wealth of experience in working in large organizations where he served the function of: the president in the FTF Columbus holding company (2016-2020), and the financial director and member of the management board in Cersanit (2010-2016 ), i.e. companies controlled by the greatest of Polish entrepreneurs and investors, Michał Sołowow. Michał Romański is a graduate of the University of Economics in Krakow, postgraduate HR studies at the Jagiellonian University, International MBA studies at the Krakow Business School and St. Gallen Business School as well as ICAN Institute programs.
The company Mercator Medical S.A., based in Krakow, deals with the production of disposable gloves and the distribution of disposable medical materials, and is one of the most important players in Poland and an important force in the international arena in that market. The group’s production plant is located in Thailand and it operates globally in over 50 countries.
Mercator Medical S.A. shares have been listed on the regulated market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange since November 2013. However, in March 2021, they were included in the WIG20 – the main stock exchange index. Consolidated sales revenues of the company reached PLN 1.83 billion in 2020.
