Medical device company Stryker intends to set up a business services centre in Warsaw, with the opening of the Polish branch planned before the third quarter of 2022. The new facility will deal with finance and procurement services. Stryker is currently looking for around 300 new employees.

According to information provided by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), Stryker, which is a leading manufacturer in the medical technology market, will open a branch in Warsaw with the task of developing finance and procurement services. This will be the company’s first direct investment in Poland and will require hiring new employees. Stryker will offer jobs to around 300 people.

Activities to be handled by the Warsaw facility include supplier invoice processing, reporting and month-end closing. Employees will also process fixed assets, intra-group receivables and payables, and handle master data for commercial processes. The department will also deal with internal controls and project management and process improvement.

Stryker is a company that has been operating since 1941 and has won numerous awards over the past two years. As many as five times in a row the company has earned the title of “Great Place to Work’s World’s Best Workplaces”. In addition, Stryker has been recognised for its work culture.

As PAIH explains, the project implemented in Poland is a response to an increased interest of the medical sector in the Polish market. It is business service centres that are the most popular sector in the investment projects portfolio of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, with the number of projects running at 36.
