Negotiations on the sale of Hospital St. George County in Kamien Pomorski have not brought results so far. If the company and the county authorities do not reach an agreement, it all indicates that the hospital will be closed.

Negotiations launched

In October 2019, the Management Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny SA began negotiations with the Starosty of Kamien Pomorski County on the possible sale of Hospital St. George in Kamien Pomorski for a “symbolic zloty”. The negotiations have not yet led to an agreement between EMC and the county. Therefore, the company informed the starost about the planned termination of the hospital’s operations as of 31 March 2020. The sale proposal is for the district.

Failure to provide the expected service by EMC

The decision to sell the hospital is due to the fact that the company is not able to provide services to the extent expected by the district authorities. EMC reserves the right to change the provisions in case the company’s final offer is not accepted by the county authorities.

St. George’s Hospital in Kamien Pomorski provides inpatient and outpatient care under contract with the NFZ, as well as private services.

EMC operates a network of hospitals and clinics which operate in the following voivodeships: Dolnoslaskie, Opolskie, Zachodniopomorskie, Pomorskie, Slaskie and Mazowieckie.
