In September there were 2,544 pharmacies and 232 points of sale in the Czech Republic, according to the latest SUKL data. This number has remained relatively stable for several years.

In addition, in July 2018 there were only 15 24-hour pharmacies in the Czech Republic, six of them in Prague and two in Ostrava, Brno and Plzeň.

The largest pharmacy network in the Czech Republic is Dr. Max, who has over 400 pharmacies, which accounts for about 17% of all pharmacies in the country. More than half of Dr. Max’s pharmacies are located in shopping centres.
