On 1 September 2020, Phil Krzyzek took over as General Manager Biopharma Poland and Managing Director Merck Sp. z o.o science and technology company. The graduate of microbiology and microbiological technology has been associated with the pharmaceutical industry for years. He has been working within the structures of Merck for nearly four years.

Phil Krzyzek is a graduate of microbiology and microbiological technology at Warwick University. He also holds an MBA (Open University). According to the company, Phil Krzyzek has over twenty-five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has experience in sales, marketing, distribution, business development and management.
Previously he worked for Pfizer, AstraZeneca and AposTherapy, among others.
Changes in the Merck structure framework
Phil Krzyzek joined Merck in January 2017 as Senior Business Unit Director in a British company. There he managed such areas as: infertility treatment, endocrinology and treatment of civilization diseases. From the beginning of 2020 he was the Senior Director of Commercial Operations and was responsible for the implementation of a special recovery program related to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. From 1 September 2020 he became the President of the Management Board of Merck in Poland, while also serving as the General Manager of the Biopharma Division.
The former President of the Management Board of Merck and General Manager of the Biopharma Division, Selen Zeydanli Bisson, have taken on new professional challenges outside Poland within the company structure.
