Digitalisation of the healthcare sector allows not only for the simplification and acceleration of existing processes, but also opens up the possibility of building new, innovative services. Therefore, Asseco Poland – one of the leaders in the IT industry both in Poland and in Central and Eastern Europe – together with the company Chmura Krajowa will establish the Health Cloud. The company is to handle the digitisation of healthcare and enable medical units to provide e-services while maintaining the highest security standards.

Asseco Poland and Krajowa Chmura (National Cloud) are setting up a company called Krajowy Operator Chmury Medycznej (Cloud for Health), which will aim to digitise healthcare and enable medical units to provide e-services with the highest security standards, Asseco said in a press release. Cloud for Health will specialise in the implementation of electronic medical records (EDM) in the cloud. It will also ensure smooth regulatory compliance and contribute to the standardisation of IT services in the healthcare sector. Recall that providers are obliged to transfer to the medical information system (SIM) the data of a medical event processed in the information system from 1 July 2021.
Cloud for Health will primarily offer electronic medical records (EDM) in the cloud. The solution will enable the creation, authorisation, and collection of individual and collective records with the highest security standards. It will also guarantee their availability and processing on a 24/7 basis.
