The former General Director of the Ministry of Health, Anna Golawska, was appointed Undersecretary of State yesterday, Ministry of Health informed in an official statement. The appointment was handed over by the Minister for Health, Adam Niedzielski.

Anna Golawska, appointed Deputy Minister of Health, will be responsible for the informatisation of the health sector, one of her duties will be to supervise the e-Health Centre.
I am keen to see further dynamic development of informatisation of healthcare. I want telemedicine to become widespread in the public system, especially in the area of electronic medical records and tools for providing services remotely – said Anna Golawska, quoted in the official statement.
Education and many years of experience in the Ministry of Health
Anna Golawska has been working for the Ministry of Health for many years. Since 2009, she has been the head of the Ministry of Health, then in 2015-2018 she was the deputy director of the Department of European Funds and e-Health, and for the last less than two years she has held the position of General Director at the Ministry of Health.
The new deputy minister graduated from the Warsaw School of Life Sciences. She is a graduate of doctoral studies in the discipline of management science at the Warsaw School of Economics and postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of Project Management, Human Resource Management in Healthcare Organisations at the Warsaw Medical University and the European Union Structural Funds at Cardinal Wyszynski University, according to the Ministry of Health.
