Aflofarm can take over the Trec Nutrition

On 12 September, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) gave its consent to the acquisition of Trec Nutrition, a manufacturer of supplements and nutrients for sportsmen, by Aflofarm Farmacja Polska. The transaction also includes RB3.

Founded in 2001, Trec Nutrition owns a factory in Gdynia and specializes in the production of protein supplements, creatine, pre-training boosters, fat burners, vitamins and minerals, etc. The company’s core business is the production of protein supplements, creatine, vitamins and minerals. The company also operates a franchise chain of shops under the Vitamin-Shop brand. It includes nearly 100 locations in Poland and several dozen locations abroad (e.g. in Great Britain, France and Ireland).

According to PEX PharmaSequence, Aflofarm is the largest player on the OTC pharmacy market in Poland in terms of sales value. The company is also the largest manufacturer in the pharmacy segment of preparations for sportsmen, both in terms of value and quantity.
