Glovo, a mobile app specialising in on-demand delivery, is entering a new business segment. It wants to offer professional tests to detect the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Another novelty on Glovo

In mid-November, Glovo announced its entry into the Q-commerce segment in its home market of Spain. This service includes not only food and restaurant items, but also toys, cosmetics, flowers or clothing. Now, through the Glovo app, users in Spain and Romania can also order a COVID-19 test.

In Valencia, after placing an order through the Glovo app, the TesteoCOVID company calls the ordering person to coordinate the service. Then, a medical professional arrives at the address indicated within 2 to 6 hours to perform the COVID-19 test. The service can be ordered as an antigen or serological test for €60. If both types of COVID-19 tests are carried out at the same time, then the cost of the service is €70.

Glovo has been operating in Poland since July 2019, following the acquisition of PizzaPortal.pl. The idea behind the application is to be able to order “anything” and delivery takes place in less than an hour.
