The Medical Research Agency has announced a competition, the subject of which is the establishment and development of Oncology Clinical Trials Support Centers (OnkoCWBK). Increasing the number of both clinical trials in the area of oncology, to increase the number of participants in Poland, as well as to exploit the potential of the commercial and non-commercial clinical trials sector, are among the top goals. For this reason, ABM intends to allocate PLN 45m for co-financing the projects selected in the competition. The call for applications will last until 22 November 2021. 

The creation of Oncology Clinical Trials Support Centers are expected, among others, to increase the competitiveness of the Polish market in terms of clinical trials services and contribute to the growth of innovation in Polish medicine in general. A total of PLN 45m will be allocated by the Agency for co-financing the selected projects.

The applicant can be a medical entity within the meaning of Article 4 of the Act of 15 April 2011 on medical activity, established by the State Treasury represented by a minister or a central government administration body or a local government unit having a contract with the Provincial Branches of NFZ and providing hospital services. At the same time, the competition will be open only to Applicants who have a contract with the NFZ in the field of hospital services of at least general or oncological surgery and chemotherapy or radiotherapy (teleradiotherapy/brachytherapy).
