On 18 December 2020, the second phase of recruitment of medical entities vaccinating against COVID-19 started. By the end of this year, vaccination points in every municipality in Poland are to be secured.

Recruitment of therapeutic entities vaccinating against COVID-19 is underway

From 18 December, for four days, the recruitment of entities vaccinating against COVID-19 will continue. The recruitment concerns municipalities that do not yet have a vaccination point provided. Application forms will be accepted in the branches of the National Health Fund until 22 December, and the evaluation of applications is to take place by 24 December.

The first stage of the call for applications took place between 4 and 11 December, and 80% of municipalities will have vaccination points available.In most cases the vaccination points will be located in primary health care facilities.

Stricter restrictions from 28 December

On 17 December 2020, the government announced tighter restrictions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. From 28 December 2020 to 17 January 2020, ski slopes, hotels (with a few exceptions), shopping malls outside grocery stores, drugstores, pharmacies or the press will be closed, and the sports infrastructure will be available only for professional athletes. Moreover, on 31 December, there will be a ban on movement between 7 pm  and 6 am, and all persons coming to Poland by public transport will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine. At the same time, the previously binding restrictions remain in force.

The Minister of Health also said that the “national quarantine” is to prepare Poles for vaccination.
