After receiving a positive opinion from the Council of the National Health Fund and a decision of the Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski, Filip Nowak has become the new president of the NFZ. Previously, he served as acting president of the NFZ and was a Deputy President of the National Health Fund for Operations.

The Council of the NFZ gave a positive opinion on Filip Nowak’s candidacy on 8 November 2021, and he was subsequently appointed as President of the NFZ. From 29 November 2019. Filip Nowak served as Deputy President of the NFZ for Operations, while in August 2020 he took up the position of Acting President of the NFZ. Previously, he was director of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Branch of the NFZ and was in charge of the work of the Opolskie and Wielkopolskie branches of the NFZ. He also gained experience working at the Lower Silesia branch of the NFZ.
