The Supervisory Board of EMC Instytut Medyczny S.A. appointed on 18 February 2020. Michal John to the Management Board of the company. He will take the position of Vice President of the Management Board and will be responsible for operational activities.

Since the beginning of his career in the healthcare market

Michal John is a graduate of the University of Silesia in Katowice where he graduated in political science and history. He also graduated from the University of Lodz with a degree in psychology. He has 12 years of experience in strategic management and specializes in marketing communication, restructuring, management and transformation of company culture.

According to the company, in the years 2008-2010 Michal John took part in the restructuring of sales, purchases and franchise department in DOZ S.A. Then, in 2011-2019, he worked for Dr.Max. In the first place, he was the Vice President of the Management Board and was responsible for the marketing and public affairs department, e-commerce sales department and institutional sales. Since 2016, he has held the position of Chief Operating Officer and managed the medical department, internal audit department and the operating department covering almost 600 locations.

In his career to date, he has directly participated in over 60 M&A transactions, developed management, restructuring and integration plans for the acquired outlets.

Earlier changes to the Management Board

In June 2019, Karol Piasecki became the new president of EMC Instytut Medyczny. He is responsible for development, promotion and marketing. In September last year, Dariusz Chowaniec and Marcin Fakadej were appointed as vice-presidents. The former is an investment director and the latter a financial director. All three of them have moved to EMC Medical Institute from the Dr. Max pharmacy network.
