On Friday, the Sejm rejected a citizens’ bill postulating the abolition of preventive vaccination. 354 MPs voted against, 10 voted against and 16 abstained.
At the beginning of October, Law and Justice (PiS) directed the project to further work in parliamentary committees. As the party’s politicians explained, it did not result from their support for the project. The Law and Justice party promised earlier that it would not reject civic projects at first reading.
Anti-vaccination movements in Poland are gaining in popularity year after year. In the first half of 2018. there were more people evading preventive vaccinations than in the whole of 2017.
